Shirts & Shorts: new, regional short films + DIY-printed shirts

  • Wonder World Cave and Park 1000 Prospect San Marcos (map)

Cinema Club seeks submissions of recent regionally-made content -- shot between the bookends of San Anto & Austin -- ideally less than 20 minutes in length.

At sunset on Sunday, February 24, Wonder World Cave & Park hosts our second-ever SHIRTS & SHORTS, an exhibition of local short films, plus new hand-printed Cinema Club t-shirts!

Screenprinting of new Cinema Club designs -- from artists Dayann Pazmino & David Viejo Perez -- are free if you bring your own blank tee, else $5 for one of our recycled shirts.

A limited-seat, enchilada dinner atop the Wonder World Tower, catered by the The Que Bonito Project of Seguin, precedes festivities to raise funds for this year’s Lost River Film Fest commences at 5:30PM. VIP Badge Holders to our 2019 film fest will enjoy free admission to the unique meal, otherwise costing $20.

Starting Feb 14, cinema lovers can purchase VIP Badges or dinner tickets at

Valentine’s Day is also SHIRTS & SHORTS’ submission deadline: by midnight to as MP4, please, for consideration.

This springtime, Wonder World Cave and Park will transform itself into a magnificent adventure park displaying art, starting with a Rene Perez mural & new community partnership with Mermaid Society of Texas.

Wonder World will offer a generous discount on Cave Tours on Saturday, Feb 24, prior to SHIRTS & SHORTS… Mention “San Marcos Cinema Club” to the cashier that day & pay just $11 (instead of $19.95) for a Cave Tour. Plummet into the Balcones Fault Line! Fossilized prehistoric life! Evidence of past geological eras! A 116-year-old, earthquake-crafted Show Cave -- where alcohol illicitly thrived during Prohibition!

Special thanks to the San Marcos Arts Commission for crucial funding support for our second SHIRTS & SHORTS local film showcase!
